We have been running our postnatal and antenatal circuit Pilates classes for 3 months now and they are becoming very popular. All classes are run by a Physiotherapist with Pilates qualifications.
Pilates works on activating the deep abdominal and pelvic floor muscles to improve core strength and balance, as well as injury prevention. As the body changes throughout pregnancy, Pilates will assist with core strength and postural alignment. Antenatal Pilates can be attended throughout any stage of your pregnancy, right up until you pop!
The postnatal Pilates class will assist in regaining strength, flexibility and general fitness after the birth. These classes are suitable for mums 6 weeks to 8 months post birth. You can bring your baby as we have a babysitter for all classes. These classes do require an initial consultation before joining the circuit class.
