Our team of Physiotherapists can assess and provide you with a safe and individualised hydrotherapy program.

The sessions are conducted in our hydrotherapy pool which is kept between 32°C and 34°C. We understand that not all injuries require land-based exercise, providing an appropriate alternative in our heated hydrotherapy pool. The benefits of hydrotherapy include:

  • Minimal impact on joints, ideal for early stage orthopaedic rehabilitation
  • Pain relief from joint and muscle conditions
  • Improved joint range of motion and flexibility in a low weight bearing environment
  • Gentle strengthening using the water resistance or foam weights

Post-surgical rehabilitation including joint replacement and back surgery, arthritic pain, acute back injury, and general reconditioning are just a few of the conditions that can benefit from a hydrotherapy program.

Your Physiotherapist will provide a land-based assessment in which an individual program can be designed based on your goals. From here a 1×1 session in the pool will be performed with your Physiotherapist, ensuring correct technique and safety. A number of 1×1 sessions may be required depending on your injury and level of confidence.

If progressing well, you may join our semi-supervised hydrotherapy group, in which a Physiotherapist offers help and guidance to a group of individuals each with their own program.

Our independent hydrotherapy sessions do not involve Physiotherapist supervision. Suitable for those who are practicing maintenance of their program or general conditioning. To be eligible to participate in these sessions, patient safety will be reviewed by the treating Physiotherapist.
